Our Roots: A Michigan Hemp Farm
Made By A Farmer began exactly where the name suggests, on a farm. In 2019, following the federal legalization of hemp production under the 2018 Farm Bill, we planted our first hemp cultivar on a 200-acre property in Southeast Michigan. From day one, our goal wasn't just to grow cannabis; it was to grow it the right way.
That means no herbicides. No pesticides. No fungicides. Just clean, carefully tended soil and a deep respect for what the plant can be when you let it thrive naturally. Our farm holds USDA Organic certification, and we intend to keep it that way.
What We Grow: CBD, CBG & CBDV Flower
On our Southeast Michigan farm, we cultivate CBD, CBG, and CBDV flower varieties — each selected for quality, consistency, and cannabinoid expression. The CBGA Hash produced from our crops is a direct reflection of that care: full-spectrum, solventless, and made with the same no-shortcuts philosophy that defines everything we do.
From Hemp to THC: Entering the Michigan Cannabis Market
In 2022, we brought our farm-first philosophy into Michigan's licensed THC market. The transition was natural: the same hands that grew hemp were now applying years of expertise to Hash processing and cannabinoid manufacturing. We didn't reinvent ourselves — we expanded what we already were.
Today, Made By A Farmer produces a full lineup of premium Michigan cannabis products, including Full Spectrum Live Hash Rosin Vapes, Infused Prerolls, Hash Rosin Gummies, and Solventless Concentrates. Each one is an extension of the same values we carried into that first field in 2019.
